The river is in pretty good shape. It's running 4830 cfs at 5.14 feet and a water temperature of 45 degrees in Scottsville. Most of the ramps are mud covered so take caution when entering the water. Fishing has been good. The fish are still found in and around their winter holes but more active with the warming water temps. On the fly I've have success with baitfish patterns such as Game Changers, CK Baitfish and Rhodes Twist and Shouts. Patterns that have produced with conventional gear have been jerk baits, crankbaits and soft plastic paddle tail swim baits.
I have some days open in March if you would like to get out. The pre spawn fishing can be awesome!
